It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's... The Masked Mommy!

A Little About My Secret Identity...

Are you new here? It's nice to meet you! Be sure check out my Super Posts page to see all my favorite posts! I can tell you a little about my secret identity if you promise not to spread it around and blow my cover, ok? ;-)

I am a 23 year old Catholic stay at home mother of 2. I married my college sweetheart the summer between our Freshman and Sophomore years.. and the next several years were a blur. During the next 4 years it took my husband to complete college, we lived in 7 different homes, 2 states, and had 2 children. Needless to say, I perfected the art of tightwadding, but lost control of pretty much every organizational aspect of my life.

The Masked Husband

I was an art major in college, studying to be an elementary school art teacher, but dropped out 3 semesters before graduating to stay home with our daughter. My concentration was in ceramics, but I haven't touched a piece of clay in years. Who has time for ceramics and painting when you can't get the laundry done?

The Masked Children
This blog came about because our home had become so disorganized, I no longer had the time or energy to enjoy life anymore! No time for arts and crafts, no time for cutting adorable sandwiches out with cookie cutters. I was just in survival mode. So I made myself a blog to encourage myself to get organized... but I'm terrible at organization. I mean, really awful. Don't believe me? Check it out. However, this blog did bring me a long way. You can see my progress here.

So now that my house isn't crumbling down around me, I have time to blog about the things I am good at (because now that I've gained control, I have time to do projects again!). These things include arts, crafts, decorating, ceramics, videography, sewing, and being a wife and mother.

Hat's off to you for taking choosing to take charge of your house! Laundry can really wear a person down. I wrote about how I organize my laundry at this entry - http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/timbuck2mom/602807/

Maybe it will be something to encourage you in a new method.

One day at a time - you'll make it.

I've decided to read your blog from the beginning. I love it. The superhero theme is adorable, and actually quite inspiring. It helps to think of a wonder woman inside of me capable of doing the things I doubt I'm capable of. I think I'll just try letting her take over some days. Fake it 'til you make it, right?
