Muffin Tin Monday- Under the Sea!

With Michelle's Muffin Tin Monday theme this week being "under the sea", I just couldn't help but participate! ;-)

Going Clockwise: Cheese "starfish" on brown sugar "sand", Applesauce "sand", "Mermaid" made from lettuce, ham, cheese, and a pepperoni & sitting on a "seashell" made from bread, Avocado "seaweed", goldfish, and "shark attack" yogurt (shark fin made from a banana).

The secret for cutting food out in particular shapes (such as the pepperoni hair and lettuce tail) is to use scissors. Obviously, I used the ruffly end of the lettuce for the end of the tail.

I'd love to say that we also did a great "under the sea" craft or read a good ocean book, but in reality we just watched Finding Nemo while we ate and had our Little Mermaid doll near by ;-) Haha! I hope someone reading was looking for cute food ideas for a mermaid party!

Happy Muffin Tin Monday everyone! Great theme, Michelle!
