So we used to own a house in South Carolina. We were not able to overcome our slob instincts while we lived there, but we did fix it up to sell it. We did every single bit of the work ourselves with one exception... laying the carpet. Fixing up a house involved countless projects, so here are the top ten before and after shots:
We did so much to the kitchen! The wall paper strip came down, the cabinets and walls were repainted, and all the light switches and plugs were replaced, along with the floor and the counter top. However, replacing the entire counter top back splash seemed labor intensive, so we just painted the back splash and replaced the top piece. I think it came out really nice!We also replaced the stove from the stone age...Bathroom Number 1
Wallpaper down, new light fixture, new faucet :-)Master Bedroom
New carpet, new ceiling fan! Spare room
By adding this closet, we were technically able to list it as a bedroom (although I wouldn't want so sleep in here!) We also laid the ugly carpet from the master bedroom in here so it would be wall to wall.Bathroom Number 2
We didn't do much remodeling in here, just some redecorating. I was hoping to update it a little and take your mind off of the truly hideous tile...The living room
This room wasn't that bad (besides the carpet) but putting a neutral color on the walls with white trim really made it look much better! The Dining Room
The carpet went, that weird door with a window had to be replaced, and we updated the light fixture.Maybe in the future I'll have some more detailed posts about the work we did, but for now I have to get back to work around my current house which seems to be falling apart...

Oh I guess the baby is a good excuse, afterall who has time to do projects with a little one. Those makeovers of 2007 are great.
Lots of hard work paid off. The kitchen looks so nice as do your other make overs.
I especially love the bathroom "number 2"! You have a wonderful finished project. Great job!
Everything looks great! I love the color you chose for your kitchen! Thanks for letting me stop by!
